28" barrel in .22 LR caliber. This rifle was manufactured in 1940 during the third year of production. It was an extremely popular and accurate target rifle. Features the blued finish, bolt action, magazine fed, adjustable target globe front sight, scope blocks, and Lyman adjustable receiver sight. Stock is made of American walnut without checkering. Sports a checkered steel buttplate and sling swivels with front sling adjustment rail. The barrel and frame retain approximately 98% original factory blue with some age spotting on barrel retaining band. The trigger guard and floorplate are a blue-brown patina. Rifle has an original Winchester stamped magazine. Walnut stocks are excellent with a few minor impressions. Fine bore and action.
