26" barrel in .30-06 caliber. This was the standard rifle issued to the United States infantry during World War I. Rifle was manufactured at the Eddystone plant. It was rebuilt and reissued during the second World War. Now features the dull military phosphate finish. The stock is stamped "R" for 'Remington'. Barrel is dated 7-18. The barrel, frame, and all other visible parts are all stamped "E" for 'Eddystone', with the exception of the bolt that is stamped "R". The wood is in excellent shape with the eagle stamp at bottom of wrist. No other visible rebuild cartouche. Metal retains approximately 75-80% of the reapplied parkerized finish. Has an original period sling with brass frogs. Action is perfect. Strong rifled bore.
