This lot of two porcelain busts are prime examples of the extraordinary talent of French sculptors in the early 19th Century. 1) The bearded subject of the first bust isn't known, but he wears the Badge of the Order of the Holy Spirit. It is an exquisite piece signed by Alexandre Brachard (1775-1843, French) in the world renowned Sèvres porcelain factory in 1924. It is mounted on a circular pedestal with a blue and gold glaze. 2) Remarkable bust of Napoleon Bonaparte as First Consul, unsigned, as the glazed pedestal says.

Condition: (Excellent).
