These two pieces of a plate armor do not come from the same cuirass. The heavy iron breastplate has a brass plackart, pectoral anchors, and domed rivets along the edges. It is missing the five rivets along the bottom. The iron his heavily pitted and has developed a brown patina. The lighter iron backplate has pitting and bright brass domed rivets and leaf shaped shoulder strap anchors. The shoulder straps each have wide, leather straps armored by brass scales. The interior has been painted black.
