This heavy plate armor cuirass is inscribed on the bottom of both halves. The breastplate's inscription reads "Manuf Rau de Klingenthal, 8, 1831" and "1T, 2L, No 1823". It also is stamped on the interior of the left shoulder "1T 2L / 1823". The back plate inscription is much more faded and reads "Manuf Rau de Klingenthal, 1829" and "2T, 1L, No 2167". The waist belt is cracked leather and the left half is hanging on by a thread. The shoulder straps are wide leather with twin brass chains and brass latches that have both torn out.
