This heavy steel plate armor cuirass is unadorned, save for the brass domed rivets along the beaded edge. The left shoulder of the breastplate is stamped "89 / 4. C. R. / 1E.". The back half of the cuirass has scaled brass over cracked leather shoulder straps. Half of the waist belt is missing as is a single brass rivet. The burlap lining is mostly intact on the breastplate and in remarkable condition on the back.
