This heavy plate armor cuirass has a degraded black lacquer coating, even on the scaled shoulder straps, but the left side of the breastplate has had most of it removed. The interior of both pieces have cloth lining and regimental tags. The breastplate tag reads in part "Garbes du Corps Wolter" and some more Germanic writing. The back plate tag reads in part "Garbes du Corps Kremer" and more Germanic writing. The lining also has "Ulrich" handwritten on it.
