This lot consists of two distinctive Steiff limited editions that come with special accessories. The first is Steiff's Richard and his Sketchbook, which was an exclusive for The Toy Shoppe from Richmond, VA. The bear is 45 cm, fully jointed, and made from lovely grey mohair. He comes with a small spiral bound paper sketchbook that features reproductions of original drawings made by Richard Steiff - the man who created the Teddy bear at the turn of last century. Richard and his Sketchbook was produced in 2005 in an edition size of 1,500 pieces; this example is number 9. The second item is Steiff's Daniel the Swarovski Teddy Bear. The bear is 22 cm, fully jointed, and made from long blonde mohair. He wears the official Swarovski holiday ornament and also has a Swarovski crystal instead of a Steiff button in his ear. This bear was the first in the series of Steiff and Swarovski collaborations. Daniel is named after Daniel Swarovski, the founder of Swarovski. This bear was produced in 2004; this example is number 732. Condition: As detailed. Richard is complete with all IDs, original packaging, accessories, paperwork, and documentation; Daniel as Richard except lacking certificate. In excellent to like new condition.
