Comprised of: 1) Near Mint Cuirassier Breastplate. This remarkable piece of armor doesn't appear to have been in combat. There are no visible scratches or dents and all of the edges are clean and true. The brass dome rivets nicely highlight the dark brown patina. The bottom interior's patina has been removed to read the engraved script that reads "Manuf Rau de Chatellerualt" and "9bre 1838 - 3T. 2L. No 198". The interior also has some stamps. "198 / 3R" on the left shoulder. The left flank has "6", "6", "E", and a "B" in a circle. 2) Small steel breastplate has an even layer of micro pitting that gives it a shiny grey patina. There are slots at the shoulders and flanks. No markings.
