Both are socket heads with glass sleep eyes, open mouths with four upper teeth, and are on the original fully-jointed wooden composition German bodies. The larger doll is incised "Made in Germany 390 A. 12-1/2 M". The smaller doll is incised "Made in Germany 1912-5". Both dolls appear to have mainly original body finish with perhaps some repaint on the larger doll's hands. The smaller doll, attributed to Dressel, has an old restoration to the upper forehead.
