This Lot of 10 consists of: #1 - Naganata / Kindjal. This double edged, 17-1/2" blade has a beautiful temper line and is stamped "1917" and a faint proof of a bird on the base. The crude sheath has an old sticker that reads "Japanese Pole arm blade Naganata Made from a Russian Kindjal, Captured on Okinawa 1945". Some pitting. Overall length: 23-1/4". #2 - Crude Dagger. 12-1/2" blade with a hidden tang. Wood handle has oval metal badge with 3 feathers and "Ich Dien". Base of blade has large flaw, pitting, and "183" handwritten in white paint. Overall length: 17-1/2". #3 - French Dirk. Blade is 16-1/4", single edge, single wide fuller, pitting, and has various engraving on both sides including an Imperial Eagle. Right side of ricasso has "IGB" engraved. Cross hilt and smooth wood grip has a single crack. Overall length: 21-3/4". #4 - Russian Dagger. Blade is 13", double edged, two small fullers and two medium fullers. It has etching on both sides of the base with Cyrillic letters. The base also has two "A" stamps, one of which has a crown above. Some pitting. The wood handle has three rivets. Overall length: 18-1/2". #5 - Long Dagger. This blade is 12" long, 5" of which is point, 3 small fullers, and 2 rivets in a hidden tang. The grip and scabbard are made of a non-ferrous metal, possibly pewter, and decorated with twisted wire in geometric patterns and black paint. Overall length: 17". #6 - Persian Dagger. Blade is 7-3/4" long, heavily pitted, single edged, 1 small fuller, and has writing and patterns in gold on both sides of the ricasso. The pommel is an animal head. The sheath has pierced metal work with red velvet showing through and two floating rings. Overall length: 11-1/4". #7 - Dagger. Blade length is 9", double-edged, no fuller, and minor pitting. The grip and sheath are decorated blue and gold metal over wood. Overall length: 13-1/4". #8 - Cleaving Tool. The 8" head is sharp on both sides and has a gutting hook. It is stamped "L.L. Garant" in an oval. It has a gray patina with minor pitting throughout. #9 - Small Pitchfork. This iron tool has 5 barbed points that are about 6-1/2" long. Overall length: 18-3/4. #10 - Confederate D-Guard Knife. Blade is 15", single edge, and heavily pitted. The guard has two D-bars. The grip is wood with 2 rivets. There was a tag attached that claims it was from the Battle of Glorieta Pass in 1862.
