7-1/2" barrel in .38 Special caliber. Manufactured in 1925. These are beautiful early pre-war target revolvers. This is built on the 41 caliber frame, features blued finish, six shot, double action, high adjustable front sight, adjustable rear sight, checkered trigger, checkered back strap, and Colt deep relief silver medallion diamond checkered walnut grips. These revolvers were so finely tuned each gun was hand fitted by a single gunsmith who had in front of him a complete set of parts. This action was to become the same action used in the famed Colt Python revolver. It was the expensive hand fitting that ultimately led to the demise of the Python. This revolver remains in incredible original condition. Has a hint of muzzle wear, light drag line and some high edge cylinder wear. Retains approximately 90% original factory high polish blue. Grips are near mint. Action is perfect with a near mint bore. Beautiful early long barrel target pre-war Colt.
