Barrel length 6", caliber is .22 long rifle. Referred to as the fifth issue, this revolver was manufactured in 1953. It features six shot, double action, blue finish, ramp front sight, target rear sight, wide spur target hammer, serrated trigger, with fully checkered silver medallion walnut grips. Sporting the same action as the famed python. These post war match models were some of the finest revolvers ever manufactured. The grips were identical to those found on the early Colt pythons and much like the early etched panel barrels on the Colt 1878 that were stripped down for the S.A.A. These revolvers are being bought up just for their grips to be put on early pythons. The grips alone are now selling between $400 and $600. This revolver has light muzzle wear, light cylinder drag line and some minor high edge wear but still retains approximately 95% original factory blue. Action is perfect, strong rifled bore.
