Marked on haft of blade "J. Todt S.F."; this is a hunting style knife. John Todt worked circa 1870. Condition of blade has 20% of original polish, modern sharpening marks on the edge and fine to moderate pitting overall. German silver cross guard. Beautiful stag horn grips stained dark. Blade is very heavy. Nice California style swedge on each side. Much later scabbard. Blade length is 6 - 3/4" L.
