Circa 1855. Seven links with gold quartz panels on each side, all grey. Quartz in very good condition, two tiny chips, usual hairline stress cracks. Bar for button hole with two grey quartz panels, very heavily laden with gold. Extraordinarily beautiful fob, depicting miner pan surmounted by miner's shovel and ax. One side inlaid with round piece of gold quartz, other side a recessed pocket, divided into six compartments, each with a different colored ore samples, protective crystal cover, facet cut.
