Fur-felt, fold-down body with silk ribbon trim and bold bullion cockade loop ending at plain, flat button near bottom of front. Starburst-pattern cockade of silk ribbon surmounted by a gilt American eagle, circular badge in center. American black felt chapeau with black rosette, American eagle flat button with shield, gold bullion lace and black tape. No lining or sweatband. Shows heavy use, small tears, lose material and a hole on the top of chapeau. Comes in cardboard carrying case with marbled paper covers. Case shows extreme use, old tape repair and areas of material lifting off but functions as it should.
