Fur felt bicorne with gold bullion tassels at ends and gold bullion loop terminating with a French fouled anchor naval button in front, surmounting a tricolor metallic ribbon cockade. Figured silk binding to edges. Black leather sweat and black silk liner inside with its original two piece, press board box covered in green marbled paper. The inside of the lid inscribed in iron gall ink with officer’s name(?—indistinct). Slight wear to the pile finish on the lower edges of the chapeau and edges of case.

Condition: (Good - Very Good).
