Islamic helmet with spike at top of helm and lobster-tail neck guard. No lining. Traditional form in use from 17th-19th century, although probably the latter. Crown made of twelve tapering panels of sheet iron, riveted together and to a band below, to which is affixed the lobster-tail neck guard. Together with four Islamic armor arm guards - 12-3/4" tall. Each composed of sheet iron with brass decorations and edge trim applied. Probably 19th century. Light pitting to the helmet otherwise good.
