Straight blade marked near top on one side "214" and on the other side stamped "Luckhaus / & / Gunther / R----heid". Engraved cast lion head pommel with pierced mouth, thick serpentine guard with relief cast spacer above and leather wrapped grip with roped brass wire. Brown leather scabbard with nickel plated brass drag and brown leather frog stamped with "Luckhaus & Gunther / Remscheid" in logo with a cow. Good condition; blade has been sharpened complete on both sides and now retains a mottled heavy brown spotted patina. Sword and scabbard have possibly been shortened. Hilt retains a mostly dark patina with some areas polished from handling wear. Grip excellent with a few minor scuffs. Scabbard is very good with one arm of strap on frog missing and some cracks and creases.
