Includes am early 19th century officer's chapeau, 1830-40's with black figured lace binding. All trimmings (cockade, button, etc.) and lining missing. The hat body and lace show heavy wear on edges, holes, tears and material lose; a blue pill box style, British officer's undress cap. Gold bullion lace round crown. Narrow leather chin strap. Tag stating "Victorian Dragoons Royal Scots Greys Pill Box Cap" inside of lining. Lace and sweatband coming loose; a red fez cap with black tassel on top of crown. Sweatband bearing maker's name of Lamurani Freres; a French forage cap of medium blue wool broadcloth with band edged with yellow worsted lace of 5/8" width and crown piped with yellow worsted, soutache braid and finished with a yellow, worsted tassel in front. Fully lined inside with lavender-colored cotton cloth and marked in script "Brun". Shows slight wear otherwise in very good condition; a reproduction Confederate Civil War artillery officer's kepi. Scarlet crown and blue band below with gold piping and trim. Black visor with two buttons with A on face. Polished black cotton lining and black patent leather sweatband. Makers tag: J. H. Silverberg from Charleston, S.C. in very good condition; a kepi of the French style with white woolen crown and scarlet band below, the crown piped with gold bullion soutache lace and the band trimmed with gold metallic lace and a gold lace chinstrap. Black leather visor. Front of cap bears a red/yellow/blue circular, ribbon cockade around convex, plain brass button with gold loop. White metal cast device below of a crown/two intertwined Cs (one reversed) with a number 1 between them. White leather sweatband and pale grey cotton lining inside, showing no wear; a Russian brown sheepskin cap with scarlet wool crown, officer's quality. Small insignia with double headed eagle in red field. Cotton, pleated lining and leather sweatband; Italian black felt bicorn. Brim bound with broad, scalloped gold lace. Trimmed with a gold bullion loop and single gold button over red/white, circular cockade. Button having five red crosses (Vatican?). White feather edging to brim all round. Lining and sweatband. Roman maker's label inside. 20th century. Slight wear to bottom edges.

Condition: (Fair - Good).
