Pair (2) of French officer epaulettes apparently late Restoration (1820s) made with broad, gold lace straps, ending in gold bullion crescens with fine (1/8" diameter) bullion fringe. One epaulette still retains its button, being a small, flat gilt button bearing a royal crown over 3 fleur de lys. Undersides retain the original scarlet wool superfine linings, with brass attachment hooks. Light moth graze to strap linings, otherwise very good. Original box and lid of pressboard construction, covered with green marbled paper.
