Relic condition, but original early 19th century czapka with band and front plate missing. Acquired by collector with "Certificate of Authenticity" (included) from Hundred & One Antiques of Toronto. The certificate claims that this czapka is: "An extremely rare museum quality authentic Polish Napoleonic Military Hat Rogatyyuka, most likely a hat of an officer of the Pospolitego Ruszenia Wojewodztwa Sierackiego. The second known example of this particular model of hat is in Museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw, and is published in the book “I Podaje Wiek Wiekowi, page 200, No. 585… This helmet is totally original."
