Comprised of: 1) Titled "Soldiers Gambling", it depicts soldiers of the English Civil War in a tavern interior. It is signed "P. Hampden Hart" in pencil in the lower right corner. This lithograph was published in 1925 by The Museum Galleries.9 1/2 x 11 inches, loose within its matte, in a larger frame: 19 x 23-1/2 inches. 2) superb colored aquatint by Hanfstaegel after the original painting by Albert Adam. 17 1/2 x 27 inches (view) within frame of 22-3/4 x 30-1/4, (one corner missing its miter). Superb example of this highly accurate painting by Adam, who had accompanied Napoleon on his Russian campaign, but left prior to the disastrous march homeward. Very good color.
