Cap has a few small holes; a red British military cap with black, patent leather visor, lining and sweat band; a German cap, scarlet band and white crown with scarlet piping around crown. Cockade and emblem, green visor, lining and sweat band. Hat is dirty with brown spots, loose lining and reproduction parts; an olive drab cap with red piping and black visor. Lining, sweat band, black visor and no. "55" inside. Shows wear with a crease in the visor; a similar olive drab visor cap with red piping. White, red and blue cockade. Lining, sweat band and no. "56" inside. Cockade is reproduction; a white German cap with red band and red piping. Black, green and red small cockade. Lining and sweat band. Maker's tag in lining, hard to read. Hand written name "Frederick". Small moth holes throughout the hat; a British officer's cap with white band and blue cloth crown and bearing maker's label "A. J. White, Ltd of London". British royal cipher in bullion on front of band. Two brass buttons, black chin strap, black visor edged with gold bullion band, lining and russet sweat band; an U.S. Marine Corps officer's summer white cap. Black patent leather visor with Gold bullion, oak leave trim. White cotton body with white soutache braid trefoil decoration on top of crown. Silver and gold emblem with anchor, globe and eagle. Gold and red bullion chin strap with two USMC buttons bearing same device as on cap band. Lining and sweat band. Maker's tag "Berkshire" and marked "Major P.E. Shea" on label. Light soiling on outside.
