Includes an official document of George the IV (1762-1830). Part of the document says: "George the fourth by the grace of God of the United Kingdom and Ireland King. Defender of the faith. To all to whom these are present letters shall come greetings. He that live of the resources of our receipt of the receiver General endorsed on these present by the advice and consent of the chancellor-goes on to talking about receipt of two pound shillings and royalty between United Kingdom and Ireland". Measures 16-11/16" x 11-1/2". Bottom part is folded 1" and the wax seal attached in original tin case. Wax is red and has King and women on the front, lion and crown, the knight with code of arms on the back. It is addressed from the King to Sir Robert Gort. Dated 12th of May 1828. Grant of Rent. Top left corner "Receipt of written named Robert Gore in sum of 57 pounds and shillings written mentioned paid by me. There is a signature of someone. Document fairly clean with small brown spots on the front. Reverse side has creases and aging with stains. The second piece is an official Victorian document dated 1871. No. 3044. Victoria by the grace of God, Great Britain and Ireland Queen defender of faith. Whereas Robert Douglas in the count of Fify, North Britain-goes on to talk about land Grant. In Witness on the 7th day of November One Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy One. By Warrant. With original beige colored wax seal. Seal has Queen Victoria sitting on a thrown. Queen Victoria on the horse on the reverse side. Very clean seal. Measures 30" x 20-1/2". Shows one small tear, creases and stains. "Robert Douglas & Luis Grant" on the back of the document.
