This lot is of Frederick Remington’s Wooly Chaps, which depicts a horse with two of his four legs off the ground. The rider, dons wooly chaps and a cowboy hat. One of the rider’s hands is griped on the horse’s mane and one end of a lasso. His other hand is outstretched behind his body, gripping, what should be the other end of the lasso if it was present in this statue. . This statue is all comprised of the same deep bronze coloring with high detail shown in the cast. On the base of this bronze, Frederick Remington’s name is engraved with gold lettering. The bronze is situated on top of a piece of rectangular marble with a gold colored plaque.
