Korean War issue U.S. Army OD Vest with brown fleece lining. Very popular item for soldiers during Korea and Vietnam to have soldiers to do custom painting. The front has the owners initials "JFM" along with a 5-1/2" brightly colored hand screened dragon. The back screen features the NATO flag, U.S. flag, division flag and is painted in the center "1st Marine Division" with "Big Red One" in diamond, four stars painted, dated "50" and "51" and has the USMC ribbon, 6" by 1.5". It also shows two beautiful full color silk screen dragons measuring 14" tall each. Excellent condition, silk screen retains bright colors, no tears, stains, or moth holes, lining clean and complete, size 38. Artwork was done in Korea. This Asiatic Theater hand decorated military/souvenir clothing has become extremely collectible over the last few years and this example is exemplary. Also included are two Vietnam hand decorated souvenir jackets for children. Black cotton with white satin lining, beautifully embroidered tiger head on fronts with characters, dragon heads on sleeves, back features a map of Vietnam embroidered with date "66-67" and "VIETNAM". Excellent condition, zippers need replaced, measures 13" from armpit to armpit, making it a size 26.
