Polished straight tapered double edged diamond section with deep single fuller on each side. Marked at top on right side "U.S." and small stamp below. Other side stamped "L.F. / (large flaming bomb Ordnance proof) / & C. / 1918". Top of blade fitted with large brown leather washer. Parkerized standard Patton-style guard with three embossed lines. Grip with parkerized and checkered thumbprint panel on top and two piece black hard rubber grips. Complete with original canvas scabbard with green painted steel mounts. Excellent condition; blade is nearly perfect with all of its original polish, showing no use, only a few light marks at tip from scabbard. Hilt retains about 95-98% parkerized finish with a few scuffs on front of guard from storage. Grip and pommel are excellent with a few light marks. Grip screws have almost all of original finish. Scabbard excellent with some scattered staining and dark area directly below top mount. Mounts very good with some discoloration and small areas of paint loss.
