Comprising: A Model 1840 Musician's Sword by Ames and dated 1863. Straight blade, brass hilt and black leather scabbard with brass mounts. Excellent condition, blade retains at least 95% of original polish and has good markings, scabbard mounts and hilt retain an unpolished patina, leather on scabbard is excellent with a few minor scuffs. Also, a Model 1860 Staff and Field Officer's Sword by National Armory, straight blade with an eagle etched on one side with military motifs and scrolls, the other with "US" and military motifs. Cast brass hilt with eagle on guard and pommel, shark skin grip wrapped with brass wire, and nickel scabbard with brass cast mounts. Good condition, blade very good with a couple minor nicks and freckling, scabbard with brown patina and hilt unpolished. Masonic sword marked "HORSTMANN/PHILADELPHIA" on left side of nickel and gold washed etched blade, also marked "Patriarchs Militant" and "E.L. Thomas" with etched scenes on both sides. Unique hilt with cast gilt brass serpentine hilt and pommel with world globe and crown, nickel scabbard with relief gilt brass cast mounts. Excellent condition; showing little use or wear. Also a reproduction semi-basket hilt sword with dark patina.
