The serial number on the bottom of this box is 499159, which indicated manufacture in 1923. It is the hinged maroon box with blue end label that reads "Target, Patridge Sights, 7-1/2", Colts Officers Model Revolver .38, Wood Blue". Box is complete with all aprons. Good hinge. High edge wear with some minor surface tears. Box has inside labels on top and bottom. Includes a matching serial number test target dated 10-12-20, special instructions and original cleaning brush. This fine box would add lots of value to your Colt Officers Model.
