This box and labeling have not, to our knowledge, been found with cartridges or even a side label. It is typically found with inked notations on one end stating that it contains some small parts used in the Winchester factory. This box doesn’t have that feature though it could have been skillfully removed. Still, there are so few boxes designated for Merwin & Hulbert, and far fewer “picture” boxes, that this colorful box, even empty, is extremely popular among collectors.
