Gun (A) is a 1916 dated SMLE Mark III. Stamped "England" on top for export. Bottom of stock is numbered to gun. Stock has numerous British proof marks, as does metal. Metal and wood retain 95% of the arsenal finish. Beautiful rifle in all respects, just some minor dings at brass buttplate. Correct magazine. Strong rifled bore with perfect action. Bayonet lug is numbered to gun. Gun (B) is marked Australia Mark III. Band is marked "SMLE" dated 1941. Most of the same features as the previous rifle. Stocks are near mint, right side stamped with numerous inspector marks. Strong near mint bore and perfect action. These are a pair of nice Enfields that need no apologies.
