The barrel is dated SA1-29. This is a non converted original M1 long throw bolt action. Features the walnut half stock pistol grip, has the proper checkered NRA style buttplate, stock has pistol grip, no inspector stamps, has blued finish, has the scarce headless cocking piece, sports the Lyman 48 peep sight. Standard military front sight, the barrel has two tap holes for barrel mounted scope, along with the two factory holes and receiver bridge. These were made by the factory and not drilled through the markings. Polished bolt, barrel and frame retain approximately 95%-97% of the original military factory blue finish. The floorplate is grey patina, trigger guard has 70% original blue. Has the issue sling swivels, single barrel band, has one original magazine, has a perfect action, strong clean rifled bore. Due to the fact that a majority of the original M1 models were converted to M2 short throws finding an original M1 long throw manufactured in the 20's in such excellent condition makes this a stellar rifle for both a collector and shooter as these are known for there accuracy.
