These were made in the U.S. for the British military use. Has all the standard features for the model 1917 with some minor differences. This has the left side of forend sighting disk, barrel is not stamped with a maker, has an Eddystone front sight, Eddystone front barrel band bayonet lug, has an Eddystone bolt release, has an Eddystone rear sight that is numbered to gun. Frame is stamped E.R.A. has numerous British proofs, the bolt is numbered to gun, the bolt safety and firing pin shroud are all marked with the Eddystone "E." The right side of stock has a wood plug where brass coin would be, stock has English proofs, all metal is a dark blackish arsenal military finish, stock is very good with numerous war dings. While it is obvious that this rifle saw use it is scarce that it has all Eddystone marked small parts. Strong rifling with an ME reading of 2+, perfect action, it is import stamped on bottom of barrel.
