This started off as a basic model 700 BDL that was re barreled by W.S. Van Horne of Stoudt, Ohio and the barrel number is 71013. He had a heavy round target barrel with no provisions for sights, stock is original to gun and features the press checkering high gloss finish, black forend tip and cap, Monte Carlo comb and Remington aluminum butt plate. Metal retains approximately 95% of the original blue finish with a couple of storage marks. Wood is excellent to near mint with a couple of minor impressions. Has period 3x9 scope mounted to it with no maker name. It has the adjustments in base, strong rifling, perfect action and a jeweled bolt.
