It received the full custom competition treatment at the famed Giles shop in Odessa, Florida. The Giles shop is arguably the most famous .45 custom shop of its time, along with Clarke and Chow. This custom work includes a full solid rib extended 1-3/8" in front, fully adjustable target rear sight, rib is stamped "Giles .45 Shop Odessa, Florida", full action treatment, front grip strap has been stippled, adjustable trigger. Left grip has been replaced with a one piece scope mount device and now sports an Aimpoint Electronic Mk III scope. Fine bore and action. Has high edge wear. Still retains approximately 95-97% original Colt blue. Right grip is a World War II type brown composite. The custom Colt 1911 phase followed the successful revolver conversions of the pre-war era.
