This target Ruger pistol was assembled by custom gun maker, R.L. Shockey. Features, Bomar rear target sight, ramp front sight, missing screws, custom heavy barrel, custom Roper style walnut target grips for right handed shooter, 95% original blue finish, and has a fine bore and action. Comes with one magazine. For years Richard Shockey was an avid bullseye shooter. He apprenticed as a machinist in PA during the late 20s and early 30s. Then worked as a tool and die maker into the late 30s. During WWII and until 1948, he was a tool room foreman at the York, PA Naval Ordnance Plant. From the late 40s to about 1953 he was employed by the Department of Justice, setting up a machine shop at the federal correctional facility near El Reno, OK. ... Then he finally started a shop of his own.
