Each of these porcelain plates depicts a portrait of a Native American Indian chief. The first plate, with blue scalloped border rimmed in gold, features Sioux Chief Hollow Horn Bear. The back of the plate is marked "LS & S Carlsbad/ Austria/ 536". 12"Diameter. The second plate is ivory with a gold rim and features Chief Wets-It and is marked on the back "Chief Wets-It/ Assinnibione/ Limoges France." 9 3/4"Diameter. Both plates are in excellent condition without any chips. Circa 1890-1910.
