The Mills Novelty Co. manufactured this viewer in 1901 for animating photographs of relatively scandalous women. The oak cabinet has nice bead details, a carved applique and cast iron elements, including the copper flash finish on the viewport. The lock for the front is no longer present so the front casting does not safely lock into place. No keys are included.
