Manufactured 1977. This rifle was introduced in 1977 and made through 1980. Features blued finish, case colored lever, walnut straight stock, dark brown rubber buttpad and sling eyes. Forend has finger groove. Aside from a couple of minor spots, rifle remains in near new condition inside and out with brilliant case colors on lever. This is one of the most powerful calibers ever offered in the 99. Very popular with hunters as it has the top tang safety and folding leaf rear sight.
