An identified Imperial German Navy sword. Blade is marked "I. Hobrecht, Hoflieferant, Berlin" and "Damask. Ges. Gesch.". Eickhorm Model 348 is the sword type. Nine pointed (Freiherren) crown over "PM" on upper scabbard fitting. Consignor states Kapitanleutnant Paul Graf von Monteglas is the only Graf PM or MP in the 1899-1918 lists. He served on Torpedo Boats V189, G132, V160, T195, and many more. Sword has ivory grip, 12 grooves. Portepee. Red/ green eyes. Very nice leather scabbard.
