An Imperial German Navy sword attributed to Admiral Heinrich Stromeyer. 31" Damascus engraved blade made by "W.K.&C." and marked "Schrand & Holstein, Kiel" on the spine. "H. Stromeyer" is engraved on guard and consignor included a page from a German reference book which highlights the Admiral’s career. Unique hilt and back strap decorations. Portepee-slit in hand guard near lion head. Ivory grip with 11 grooves. Number "9" stamped on upper scabbard fittings.
