An Imperial German Navy sword with a 30" plain grooved blade marked "Alfred Braun, Berlin". Handguard is stamped with a Weimar Eagle over "M" and "N 1806" (N = Station Nordsee with accountability # 1806). "M" over unfouled anchor on lower scabbard fitting (government naval property). 1919-1920 scabbard fittings marked # 3. Leather scabbard shows modest wear.
