Probably late 19th or early 20th century with an 18th century straight tapered steel blade with partial fullers on each side and traces of engraved animals and scrolls. German silver guard with bird's head grip with panels of stag on each side fastened by brass tacks. Complete with black leather scabbard with German silver mounts. Very good condition; blade shows significant wear and sharpening with some scattered dark spots and rounded tip. Hilt with a few scattered marks from use and a few minor casting marks. Scabbard very good; showing some light wear and scattered marks.
