Circa 1750-1800. Straight unfullered steel blade, deeply engraved with a wild boar and scrolls on one side and other scroll designs on the other, ricasso engraved with arms motifs on both sides. Gilt brass hilt with D-guard and clam shell, opposite side of guard marked "WE". Tapered curved stag handle with brass pommel decorated with relief leaf design on top. Very good condition, blade retains a light grey patina with some minor scattered dark spots and freckling. Hilt slightly loose and retaining much of original gilt finish. Handle excellent.
