Manufactured 1954-1955. Introduced in September of 1950 as the .38/44 Outdoorsman Model of 1950 Pre-Model 23 built on the square butt N target frame with five screw, raised rib, adjustable target rear sight, Patridge front sight, six shot, blued, double action, case colored wide spur target hammer and grooved case colored trigger. Has matching numbers on cylinder and barrel. Gun retains 50% original blue mixed with some touch-up blue. Some spotted pitting on cylinder and corrosion under grips. Grips are silver medallion rosewood target grips; not numbered. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Strong rifling. Good shooter as is or a fine restoration project.
