The highest serial number found on this revolver was 0049. They were made by Jensen. Butt is stamped with Serial No. 0039 and ".44 CAL / L.A. JENSEN LAKE CITY FLA". This is an all American handmade Spencer copy with some readily apparent differences. Grips are two piece American walnut, and frame is bronze. There is not a lot of information on the Jensen Spiller & Burr revolver, the only markings can be found on the butt and marked on barrel "L.A. JENSEN LAKE CITY FLA". They were built as a black powder target gun with brass flat top frame, Smith & Wesson style adjustable rear target sight, high blade front sight. Barrel and cylinder are matte black finish. Action is as smooth as silk. Near mint bore. These were custom built to the highest quality and should be a great black powder target shooter even today. Retains most of its original finish. Bronze frame has not been polished. There is an article about Jensen in the NRA magazine "Muzzle Blast". Very unique revolver.
