Rationing of manufacturing materials at the beginning of WWII required the designers at Wurlitzer to get inventive. This 1942 "Victory" Model pulled it off with an air of luxury. The angled cabinet is sometimes referred to as the "coffin" and is flanked by two massive, carved solid wood pedestals. The flat wood front, pierced with a grille incorporating the Model 950's feather motif, has a beautiful circular top door with a rotary selector to choose from 24 phonographs. Also on the front are the three coin slides to accept nickels, dimes, and quarters. The angled panels are set with reverse painted glass depicting musical cornucopias, a bard, an early starlet, and all retain most of their color with only a few scratches and aging. No keys are included and it is missing its back panel.

Condition: (Very Good).

Item Dimensions: 65-1/2"T. x 43"W. x 27"D.
