This carved wooden statue depicts a Native American Indian squaw standing with right hand extended holding a bundle of cigars. She is outfitted in a blue dress with a red fringed shawl draped over her left shoulder. The front and sides of the base bear tin signs advertising Battle Ax Plug tobacco. A significant amount of wear is present throughout the statue in the form of cracks, paint loss, and chipping. The face bears the most notable damage, having large portions of the paint chipped away exposing the light wood underneath. Circa 1800s.
