A special Officially Certified Chronometer capable of working in magnetic fields up to 1000 gauss. A fine and rare example of a Rolex Oyster-Perpetual Milgauss reference 6541. Case serial 412XXX. Circa 1958. Winds, sets, and runs. Caseback engraved "1-20-66 Hal Klinge Love Helen". 38mm case diameter. Incredible black revolving bezel calibrated for 60 units with an untouched red triangle indicator. Bezel remains in untouched mint condition. Rich creamy hour markers. Dial exhibits a strong unmolested undertone of dark reddish brown patina evenly distributed through out the entire dial. This even color distribution is commonly referred to as a Tropical dial. Original woven texture is still present. Stainless steel Rolex Oyster riveted bracelet with folding clasp marked "Rolex U.S.A. 7-71". 12 total links not including end links. White dot and applied silvered dagger numerals to 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. Dauphine hands, thunderbolt sweep centre seconds hand showing very faint signs of oxidation. Screw down crown signed with Rolex coronet. Overall condition is near mint.
